OPERATIONS ANALYST

The Operations Analyst will be responsible for demand planning, inventory management and life cycle management of products and will be reporting to Director, operations planning and will closely work with production manager and inventory control team to communicate about planning and short dated inventory movement. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (other duties as required):

Demand Planning:

· Develop accurate and timely demand forecast on biweekly basis, relying on KPI's/ forecast accuracies to improve performance

· Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Finance and Operations Teams to gather inputs to build the consensus demand plan through the S&OP process

· Ensure consistency of forecast assumptions across the business unit, including base business trends, promotional plans, new launch volumes, retention strategy changes & holiday/peak volumes.

· Provide forecast reports to suppliers on a monthly or ad hoc basis. 

Life cycle management of products:

· Optimize the ERP system by ensuring timely entry of all material information including re-order points, re-order quantities, pricing

· Creating/updating item codes and creating/maintaining bills of materials

Inventory Management:

· Perform monthly inventory review and adjustments for all off site inventories of company owned materials. 

· Responsible for short dated and obsolete inventory management 

· Work closely with the management to understand and resolve known supply constraints or excess inventory risks. 

· Perform all activities that are related to maintaining accurate inventories in the Sage ERP system. These include, but are not limited to, receiving procedures, Cycle counting, and annual inventories.

Requirements

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

· Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration, Supply Chain or related field required. 

· 2 years’ experience in demand planning, and/or inventory control management experience in a manufacturing environment or related field role with SAGE X3 or similar ERP software.

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

· Master’s degree/MBA preferred.

· 2 Years’ experience with Master scheduling is a plus. 

· APICS certification and knowledge of Lean Six Sigma, and/or other Supply Chain Planning or Continuous Improvement methodologies is a plus

· Experience with nutritional supplement companies or related industries preferred.
