Job Title: Medical Records Specialist
Location: Located specifically in North Scottsdale, at East Bell Road and the 101
Compensation: $17.00 to $19.00 per hour depending on experience
Employment Type: Full Time with Benefits (Medical, Life, Dental, Vision, and 401K)
Schedule: Monday through Friday 8 hour shift (during our hours of operation 7:00 a.m.- 6:00 p.m.)
JOB DESCRIPTION: Medical Records Specialist (North Scottsdale)
We are looking for a professional and positive Medical Records Specialist to fill a need for a large health care clinic in north Scottsdale. The ideal candidate will be able to communicate effectively and have an ownership spirit to excel in their position. The ability to learn and assimilate detailed information quickly and produce quality results is a must. Having a welcoming personality is a must since the candidate will be client/patient facing.
Medical Records Specialist Job Responsibilities:
Promptly coordinate inbound and outbound medical records requests
Responsible for collecting, analyzing, and indexing patient care documentation
Maintain state, federal, regulatory, and accreditation requirements
Work closely with internal and external customers including clinicians, staff, vendors, and patients
Answer and route phone calls professionally
Ensure all logs are updated and assist with all paper chart processes
Follow up on record requests appropriately
Separate inbound records into their appropriate categories and upload into our EMR and local storage
Send established patient records to facilities our patients are referred to for specialty care
Greet patients and clients and direct them to the appropriate individuals
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent qualifications
2 years’ experience in a similar role
Advanced understanding of medical terminology and administration processes
Proficient in information management programs
Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
