Description

EnviroScience is seeking to add a full-time QA/QC Manager to our team of highly respected biologist, scientist, and engineers at our headquarters in Stow, Ohio. Our ideal candidate will work cross functionally with senior management and take an active role in quality management for the entire company.

This position will be accountable for:
• Evaluating new ideas and trends, and adopting best-in-class Quality Management concepts, processes, tools and technology
• Conducting regular audits of company laboratories and ensuring NELAC Accreditation standards are upheld.
• Overseeing outside company laboratory audits and providing corrective action plans
• Helping maintain laboratory certifications/accreditations
• Keeping company SOPs, QAPPs, and other quality/procedural documentation updated
• Performing regular field Audits of field sampling and field data collection to ensure compliance with SOPs
• Performing regular quality checks of company documentation including proposals and reports
• Working with the safety officer to ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies
• Preparing routine reports on audit findings, corrective actions, and resolutions
• Possessing strong technical writing skills

Qualifications

Collecting and analyzing data is the core of what we do. The ideal candidate for this position would be experienced with a laboratory setting, collecting field data, and have the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Quality Management, Environmental Science, Chemistry or equivalent work experience
• 5 or more years of related experience required
• Strong management, leadership, and organizational skills, able to multi-task and stay calm and focused under deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills along with the ability to work with employees at all levels of the organization effectively.
• Ability to effectively engage employees to focus on continuous improvement
• Ability to travel as needed for audits
• Additional Desired Experience
  • Use of Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS)
  • ISO or other quality standard experience
  • Creation / Editing of Quality Assurance Program Plans (QAPPs) and Standard Operating Procedures
  • Demonstrated experience in identifying problems and working successfully with managers / technical staff to achieve operational improvement
