ENSCO, Inc. is Hiring a Proposal Writer Near Pueblo, CO

ENSCO is seeking a Proposal Writer to compose informative documents and proposals to secure commercial and government contracts relevant to surface transportation research, training, and testing. The Sr. Proposal Writer will consult with engineering and technical staff to write original content, edit documents and work with graphic artists to prepare proposals for submission. The Proposal Writer may be tasked with conducting staff interviews regarding specified opportunities, attend meetings, gather relevant information, and analyze Requests for Proposals (RFPs) to determine the information needed for particular proposals. The Proposal Writer will also support the creation of proposal preparation schedules and coordination of proposal responsibilities. 
Job responsibilities will include:
• Work with technical, business development and contract administration personnel to gather technical, financial, and contractual information.
• Prepare, review, revise and maintain proposal documents for a wide range of commercial and government proposals.
• Coordinate, schedule and manage proposal development activities to meet proposal submission deadlines.
• Participate in peer editing and production review work.
• Other job-related duties as assigned.
 • Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, or equivalent experience 
• Minimum 3 years’ experience developing proposals
• Excellent writing, editing and verbal communication skills.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat.
• Strong organizational, follow through and time management skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to prioritize effectively.
• Ability to meet deadlines and multi-task.
• Ability to react well under pressure in high-stressed situations, and accept responsibility for own actions.
• Ability to build professional and courteous relationships with your colleagues and supervisors. 
• Ability to work independently and as part of a diverse interdisciplinary team.
 • Master's degree in English, Communications, or equivalent experience 
• Experience in coordination of proposal writing activities.
• Experience with railroad related subject matter.
• Experience with graphic art software.
