Sr. Data Analyst – Boise, ID

Job Description:As a Senior Data Analyst, you will report to Director Technical Support Engineering and will collaborate with the team to create data driven solutions to solve for a variety of business problems.

Your knowledge and experience will allow you to analyze large and complex data sets to answer specific questions, to explore patterns and uncover insights to benefit our R&D efforts, to validate and summarize the results of vast data projects, and to create custom templates for efficient data analysis.

Requirements

• Apply the fundamental steps of the data analysis process to efficiently analyze the data and produce accurate and actionable insights or results reports.
• Carry out ad-hoc analyses to provide answers to specific questions to understand the business problem at hand.
• Carry out in depth exploratory data analyses to understand the patterns in the data and uncover insights that will benefit our R&D efforts.
• Iterate quickly by taking decisions based on results to validate/adjust the course of action for the subsequent analysis steps.
• Document methodologies and results in systems such as Confluence and Jira.
• Synthesize complex analyses and results and communicate them in simple and easy to understand ways.
• Gather data from multiple data sources
• Create meaningful reports, models and dashboards based on the data
• Use statistical tools/models to derive actionable insights to improve the KPI’s
• Present insights to the leadership team in various forums
• Drive actions to closure working with multiple stakeholders and teams
• Create/Propose process changes and process improvements for identified gaps and track adherence
• Should have an eye for detail and bias for action - should be able to find out action areas, coordinate with internal teams & quickly execute

Qualifications

• BSc degree in a STEM field, and minimum 5 years of quantitative data analysis.
• Experience using SQL, Python or PySpark to analyze data.
• Experience with cleaning, combining, and analyzing datasets, synthesizing the findings, and reporting the results.
• Excellent ability to use data analysis to solve problems and communicate the results.
• Strong critical thinking skills, curiosity, and resourcefulness.
• Strong communication and time management skills.
