Responsibilities

The Contract Administrator will report to the Manager of Contract Administration. The administrator serves as the initial point of contact for the commercial group to document deal terms.  The administrator also maintains records of commercial contracts and ensures adherence to contractual terms.  The administrator must communicate effectively in a cross-functional environment on matters relating to commercial contracts.

  • Perform daily administration of up to 250 commercial contracts, including sales, gathering, purchase, processing, transportation, treating, and related agreements
  • Prepare contracts and amendments using templates, working closely with commercial and legal groups
  • Route contracts for approval and execution
  • Prepare contract briefs summarizing contract terms
  • Organize and maintain contract files and related records
  • Enter contract data into transaction management systems and work closely with accounting group on settlement issues
  • Track contractual obligations and administer contract trigger events
  • Provide contractual information to internal and external customers
  • Gather contractual data and prepare reports for internal business needs
  • Interface with external customers to address contractual issues
  • Perform and/or assist with various projects, tasks, and responsibilities as needed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 2-5 years’ experience with commercial contracts, specifically in natural gas contract administration
  • Knowledge of transaction management systems, TIES and Waterfield are preferred
  • Accounting background is a plus
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • Ability to multi-task and to meet critical deadlines with a sense of urgency
  • Skilled in dealing with internal and external customers
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly with Word and Excel
  • Affinity for mastering new software tools
  • Job level will be based on commensurate experience
