Description
The Human Resource Coordinator provides assistance with and facilitates the human resource
processes of the company. This role administers employee benefit plans and
acts as liaison between employees and insurance providers. This position resolves benefits-related issues and ensures effective use of plans while benefiting employees. The Human
Resource Coordinator manages payroll functions and provides system and administrative support, along with recruitment, onboarding, orientations, and record-keeping, file maintenance, including compliance support.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
· Maintain HRIS system, including support/assistance with administering payroll biweekly and entering newly hired employees into the system.
· Manage all employee benefit, insurance, and wellness processes which includes benefit administration, monthly insurance enrollment, monthly reconciliations, open enrollment, COBRA and wellness program management. Make suggestions for benefit changes and/or enhancements.
· Advocate for employees with our benefit providers. Assist employees in getting questions answered and issues resolved.
· Assures benefit plans are administered in accordance with federal and state regulations and that plan provisions are followed.
· Provide recruitment support as needed, including screening, interviews, onboarding and orientations.
· Assist in training initiatives/development.
· Assist in maintaining personnel policies or procedures, collaborating with leadership on changes/ enhancements, including employee handbook.
· Manage and develop company wellness program initiatives.
· Complete employment verifications timely.
· Process employee leaves of absence and documentation requirements. HR team point of contact for employees while on leave.
· Manage FMLA process as well as ADA requirements.
· Administer Snow Loan Program. Process documentation of loan agreements and coordination with payroll.
· Manage EEOC reporting requirements.
· Maintain knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation and ensure organization's compliance.
· Ensure security and confidentiality of all personnel information for entire organization.
· Assist and support strategic company planning and objectives.
· Assist Safety Director as it relates to HR and compliance as needs arise.
· Assist in providing back up support for Payroll.

Educational Requirements and Qualifications:
· Considerable knowledge of principles and practices of personnel administration and excellent interpersonal, human relations skills including broad knowledge of HR laws
· BS Degree or 5 years equivalent experience
· Excellent communication and organizational skills.
· Systems/Computer proficiency is required.
· Detail oriented, highly organized.
· Power Point, Google Suites, Outlook, Microsoft Suites required.
· SHRM-CP a plus.
· Fluency or conversational in Spanish a plus.
