Description

Who we are looking for...

We are seeking a Geospatial Analyst. This position is responsible for providing project deliverables and performs duties which contribute to the development, deployment, and support of Geospatial Technologies (GST) solutions for internal and external clients at England-Thims & Miller, Inc. (ETM). The following skills will be required for this position: 

  • Supports GST’s client solutions team to deliver quality products and services. 
  • Prepares and completes project deliverables for GST’s GIS and asset management solutions.
  • Supports new and existing projects, ensuring deliverables and milestones are met within reasonable time.
  • Supports GST’s client solutions team to collect, document, and enter data for GST solutions.
  • Performs data mining, advanced analysis, and reports for GST solutions.
  • Creates interactive dashboards, maps, or reports for GST solutions. 
  • Creates data QA/QC for procedures for GST solutions and processes.
  • Creates custom scripts such as Python models or Arcade tools for GST solutions.
  • Support internal or external software deployment; installation, updates, etc. as needed.
  • Cleans, organizes, and itemizes new and existing items within various GST systems as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in geography, geographic information systems (GIS), engineering, computer science or related field and a minimum of three (3) years’ experience in GIS applications.
  • GIS Professional (GISP) Certificate is preferred.

Preferred: Software

  • ArcGIS 10.x ArcMap or ArcGIS Pro 
  • ArcGIS Online and Portal for ArcGIS
  • Cartegraph OMS experience is a plus
  • AutoCAD 20xx Civil 3D experience is a plus
  • ArcGIS Workflow Manager experience is a plus
  • ArcGIS Data Reviewer experience is a plus

Scripting / Query Languages

  • Python, Arcade, Java, and JavaScript
  • SQL

Success in this job relies on your time management skills, organization, and positive attitude. In addition, you’ll need the following qualifications:

  • Advanced knowledge of spatial analytical and cartographic techniques
  • Experience working independently on advanced projects.
  • Ability to load, reference, project and prepare data from outside providers.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to solve complex problems and visualize and present information geospatially.
  • Works independently with minimal guidance.
  • Ability to solve complex problems and take a new perspective on existing solutions to improve performance.
  • Ability to interpret internal and external needs for geospatial solutions.
