Job Summary:

The Risk Analyst will report directly to, and work closely with, the Firm’s Chief Risk Officer, who has over 20 years of experience in quantitative trading. This role offers an exciting opportunity with wide ranging responsibilities in support of the Firm’s risk management function, helping to grow an existing mature multi portfolio manager quantitative investing business. We are looking for a smart and motivated team player with strong analytical and programming skills who thrives in a fast-paced environment. A successful candidate will be comfortable both working independently and collaborating with other support functions and trading teams across the Firm.

We pride ourselves on work flexibility and have a hybrid working model. Expect to be in our Midtown NYC office approximately two-three days per week after the initial onboarding and training period.

Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain tools to help report on and monitor risk in the portfolio
• Conduct transaction cost and market impact analyses to identify capacity issues in strategies
• Analyze and understand the expected correlations across strategies in the portfolio and help build more diversification
• Conduct factor analysis to identify unintentional and undesirable exposures in the portfolio
• Help assess and onboard new portfolio managers
• Help prepare materials and participate in investor conversations

Required Skills, Qualifications and Experience:

• Degree in quantitative field required (Mathematics, Statistics, Quantitative Finance, etc.)
• 3 years of experience in risk analytics field
• Experience with vendor risk models for equities and listed futures such as MSCI Barra, Axioma, etc.
• Experience monitoring real time risk to detect issues
• Proficiency programming in Python and SQL
• Strong organizational and presentation skills
• Ability to work and navigate in a fast-paced environment
• Sound critical thinking skills, with thorough attention to detail
• Self-motivated and driven by curiosity

The salary range for this role is anticipated to be between $150K and $200K. This range does not include any potential bonus amounts, other forms of compensation, or benefits offered. Actual compensation for successful candidates will be carefully determined based on a number of factors, including the candidate’s skills, qualifications, education and experience.
