Engelman's Bakery is Hiring an IT Systems Administrator Near Norcross, GA

If you're looking for a job that will help you grow and enhance your existing technology skillset, appreciate a hands-on approach to resolving issues, and dislike red tape, this is the position for you. We're looking for an IT Systems Administrator maintain our existing hardware, software and networks for our rapidly growing bakery in Norcross. Resourcefulness is a necessary skill in this role. We expect you to diagnose and resolve problems quickly and have the patience to communicate with a variety of teams and users.

This is an on-site position.

Salaried compensation: $65,000 to $80,000

Responsibilities

  • Provide on-site support for our facility in Norcross, Ga.
  • Install and configure software and hardware
  • Manage network servers and technology tools
  • Set up accounts and workstations
  • Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements
  • Troubleshoot issues and outages
  • Ensure security through access controls, backups, and firewalls
  • Upgrade hardware and software systems with new releases and models
  • Maintain and keep internal technical documentation, manuals, and IT policies up to date
  • Handle support tickets
  • Ensure stable operation of in-house computer network and all connected PCs and peripherals 
  • Ensure security protocols and software are in place 
  • Assist CAO in planning for future company growth and needs
  • Manage accounts, network rights, and access to systems and equipment 
  • Verify data redundancy and system recovery procedures 
  • Monitor and maintain system/server configuration 
  • Evaluate new and existing technologies and makes recommendations to enhance efficiencies and effectiveness 
  • Maintain accurate and current inventory of all IT infrastructure 
  • Assist CAO in planning for future company growth and needs 

Education and Training Requirements

  • Proven experience in technology, systems, support, or in a similar role 
  • Some experience with servers, workstations, networks (LAN, WAN), and patch management 
  • Familiarity with Windows operating systems and platforms. 
  • Knowledge of IT best practices and policies. 
  • Good communication, including writing, speaking, and active listening 
  • Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills 
  • Great project management skills, including organization, planning, time management, and prioritization 
  • BSc/Ba in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline preferred but not required; professional certifications are a plus

  • Ability to use hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, and controls

  • Ability to move about to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
  • Ability to say stationary for long periods of time
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
