Engelman's Bakery needs a Cost Accountant to elevate our business. Primary responsibilities will include operational reporting, operational strategic modeling, ERP ownership, and other financial analysis. Our Cost Accountant will work collaboratively with Sales, Operations, and the Finance team to provide management with timely business, strategic and financial analysis. The idea candidate will have experience working in a manufacturing environment in which they could put their hands on inventory and witness the production up-close.

Salaried compensation: $60,000 to $70,000

Job Responsibilities

• Thorough understanding of ERP system – including soon to be implemented system to troubleshoot issues and ensure accuracy of the data
• Creation of Dashboards and other reporting to ensure management reviews the appropriate KPI’s to manage the business
• Manage all standard costs, master data and customer profitability for the business
• Assist in the development of capital appropriation requests including payback, multi-scenario calculations and decision support.
• Manager reporting and tracking of demand – capacity and propose solutions
• Develop and integrate new or revised business processes for improved efficiencies, better availability of data, and standardization across the Operations organization
• Prepare ad-hoc financial modeling, analysis, and projections.
• Provide monthly financial analysis and identify trends relating to performance, spending, product mix
• Use organizational skills in project planning to meet deadlines, anticipate problems, and formulate action plans.

Job Qualifications

• Minimum BA/ BS Degree in Accounting or Finance
• 1-5 years’ experience with exposure to a manufacturing environment and understanding of cost accounting a must
• Knowledge using MRP/ ERP systems – implementation a plus
• Experience in developing complex financial modeling
• Excellent oral and written skills
• Leadership skills with strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Microsoft Office experience with advanced excel skills required
• Strong desire to be mentored and challenged
• Primarily working in an office environment
