We have an exciting and challenging opportunity for an Accounting Specialist. The Accounting Specialist will be part of the accounting team and assist in various tasks that include both Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and General accounting as described below.

Accounts Receivable and Collections

· Provide personal banking management for the owner

· Track and Manage personal loans

· Track and pay personal and real property taxes

· Maintain personal, real estate (purchases, deeds, drawing, etc.), business files

· Corporate books & ledger - document controls

· File and pay Life Insurance policies

· Gather and send all personal income tax data

· Collaborate with CPA & Attorneys

· Handle payments and receipts for various properties and companies

· Assist with various A/P, A/R, and Collection efforts

· Cross Train with other staff members

· Backup for the Accounting department when needed

Accounts Payable

· Entering accounts payable using accounting software and other programs

· Handling accounts payable for separate entities and vendors

· Analyzing workflow processes

· Serve as backup for the Accounts Payable payment processing

· Processing due invoices for payments

· Comparing purchase order, prices, terms of payment and other charges

OTHER QUALITIES

· Dedication to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process

· Assist Accounting and Inventory departments as needed

· Participate in various department-wide initiatives

· Assist with other duties as assigned

· Ad-hoc projects as necessary Qualifications

· Minimum of 5 years of overall general accounting experience

· Navision ERP system experience a plus

· Strong Excel skills required

· Strong analytical skills, accuracy, and attention to detail a plus

· Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment

· Understanding of internal controls and GAAP compliance.

· Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills required

· Ability to effectively interact, verbally and in writing, with functional department managers

· Ability and willingness to meet business critical deadlines

· Time management and organizational skills

· Detail oriented, ability to multi-task and work independently desired skills

Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $26.00 - $32.00 per hour
