ENERGY Transportation Group is currently seeking to add an experienced and motivated Logistics Specialist. This remote position is available in one of the following states: KS, MN, IL, TN, MI or GA. 

As a Logistics Specialist, we require you to be specialized in Carrier Sales and Logistics Coordination. You will be making quick decisions while building a network of carriers to service our client's accounts; making sure their freight is picked up and delivered, on time across North America, 24/7/365. 

Responsibilities

• Source and procure carrier transportation services to ensure timely pick-up and delivery of customer freight
• Ensure that the system is updated with the most accurate information on our carrier base
• Negotiate with carriers to maximize profitability of loads consigned to Energy
• Communicate existing or potential service problems to the account manager
• Monitor service providers to ensure that company and customer service requirements are being met
• Develop and grow core/key carriers to provide additional capacity
• Identify service and cost improvement opportunities and synergies, such as dedicated operations and continuous move
• Act as a facilitator for carrier problem resolution in regards to claims, payments or other business issues

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience within a 3PL brokerage/transportation environment
• Impressive negotiation skills
• Driven and competitive nature
• Strong problem solving and decision-making abilities
• Quick learner who is successful at multi-tasking
• Bachelor's degree or relevant equivalent experience
