Overview

ENERGY SYSTEMS GROUP® is looking for an Information Security Analyst to join our Business Services Team at our corporate office located in Newburgh, Indiana. This position is on site.

The Information Security Analyst will work closely with our Cybersecurity Manager to identify key security and privacy issues, risks, exposures and vulnerabilities that could affect the security and privacy of our information systems. In addition, the Security Analyst will work with security tools such as SIEMs, XDR, develop playbooks with custom alerts, work with penetration tools, and perform risk assessments.

Responsibilities

To be successful in this role you will:

• Monitor and analyze networks for security breaches to protect resources including systems, networks and data systems.
• Develop and implement custom SIEM and EDR alerts
• Develop and implement incident response playbooks.
• Complete cyber analysis of potential events or threats.
• Perform data and access reviews.
• Create and update information security policies and procedures.
• Create and maintain information security metrics and KPI’s.
• Act as a point of contact for co-ordination, remediation activities and onward escalation of operational risks and issues affecting the business (e.g., Cyber incidents, vulnerabilities, penetration testing, application security, etc.).
• Stay up to date on information technology trends and security standards.
• Install and operate information security related software

Qualifications

Your background includes:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience with Information Security or in a technology related field.
• Technical skills (e.g., system and network security, application security).
• Knowledge and experience working with programming languages such as Python, SQL, .NET, JavaScript.
• Industry security certification (e.g., CISA, CISSP, CISM, and Security ) preferred not required.
• Experience with information security industry tools such as SIEM, XDR, Firewalls, DLP, etc.
• Understanding of Windows, Active Directory, Windows Security, TCP/IP networking, and the fundamentals of Internet Security systems and technologies.
• Experience performing risk and threat analysis.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
