Description

Encon is looking for a Senior Accountant responsible for executing accounting tasks and strategies for their organizations and performing day-to-day financial activities.

The Senior accountant will prepare financial reports, perform research and analysis, maintain the general ledger, perform account reconciliations, assist with audit preparations, and carry out other accounting duties. 

Job Responsibilities 

• 5 years of accounting experience
• Strong organizational and stress management skills
• Maintain and reconcile balance sheets and general ledger accounts
• Spot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and spending
• Performs related duties, as assigned.

Required Skills & Experience 

• 5 years Experience in general accounting
• A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field 
• High level of customer service and attention to detail
• Prior experience in Payroll, Accounts receivable (AR) and Accounts payable (AP)
• Experience in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
• Self-motivated and Independent collaborator
• Strong financial analysis skills.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Desired Skills & Experience 

• Certified public accountant (CPA) or certified management accountant (CMA) also are preferred but not required.
• Sage Intacct proficiency 
• Advanced Excel
