We have an exciting opportunity for a Human Resources Assistant to build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability; promoting an inclusive workplace culture, where individuals can collaborate and thrive. Our new Human Resources Assistant will be responsible for shaping the employee experience, ensuring the company’s talent grows in meaningful ways; producing business leaders and making human resource practices as successful as possible.
PRIMARY DUTY:
Maintain accurate and up-to date human resource files, records, and documentation and maintains the integrity and confidentiality of HR records and files.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ability to deal sensitively with confidential material and to communicate with various levels of leadership, establish work priorities and to work independently
Conduct pre-hire activities including, prepare and send offer letters, background checks, drug screens, and I-9 verification
Facilitate onboarding and welcoming new employees to the organization.
Coordinate and facilitate new hire orientation, prepare new-hire binders and complete hiring process
Serves as focal point for policy and procedure questions
Prepares monthly training and events calendar
Coordinate employee appreciation events
Assist with pre-screening candidates and setting up interview schedules
Maintain employee records within the HR platform ensuring accuracy and timely maintenance of information.
Update employee information, policies, accesses, etc.
Manage employee training records and assist with training delivery and training needs
Assist and collaborate with payroll
Develop HR templates and documents to help educate staff on HR best practices and internal processes
Gather data to assist payroll with responding to unemployment claims
Assist payroll with information and response to employment verifications
Digitize all paper employee files
Provide general HR administrative support
EDUCATION AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS
Associates Degree required
Bachelor’s Degree in human resources or related preferred
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
2 years of HR Administrative experience
2 years’ experience using an HRIS and applicant tracking system
Excellent PC skills required, particularly excel, PowerPoint, and Teams
Ability to handle and protect confidential information required
Ability to build rapport, and establish good working relationships across the Company
Strong organizational skills with a high attention to detail
Flexibility and the ability to adjust to ongoing changes and process improvement efforts
