Regulatory Reporting Analyst | Remote Opportunity!

General Summary:

This position is responsible the accurate and timely submission of Unit Statistical and WCPOLs data to NCCI/WCIRB and other independent Bureaus in accordance with established procedures and guidelines set forth by the Bureaus statistical plans. #LI-Remote

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Acts as a Subject Matter Expert in NCCI/WCIRB unit stat/WCPOLs reporting.
  • Works with Underwriting Director, System Engineers, and Compliance leadership to establish, monitor and amend strategies, standards and processes as they relate to regulatory reporting to NCCI/WCIRB and all other Independent Bureaus.
  • Lead the accurate and timely submission of WCPOLS/Unit stat Reporting Specifications data to NCCI and other independent Bureaus.
  • Creates and validates file for addressing the Pre-Processing of the units in the source system two months prior to the final file submission.
  • Reviews NCCI and other independent Bureaus edit reports to identify existing errors and take the necessary action prior to submission of the file to the bureau.
  • Receives, researches and resolves issues listed on the NCCI and independent Bureaus control and edit lists.
  • Oversees and processes all incoming Unit Stat inquiries from NCCI, independent Bureaus and internal Underwriting department.
  • Responsible for and updates of WCPOLs and Unit Stat data in the NCCI and independent Bureaus records for all types of errors.
  • Provides input and make recommendations concerning writing business in specific states to ensure NCCI and independent Bureau reporting needs are met and provides state specs to IT and Underwriting departments.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • Three years’ experience working with either the NCCI or independent Bureaus WCPOLS filing requirements.
  • Three or more years’ experience with either a Work Comp bureau or a Workers’ Comp carrier in the underwriting, Premium Audit or Claims environment.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working / business relationships at all levels of the company and with the bureaus.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organization and analytical skills.
  • Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Excel and Word.
  • Bachelor’s degree a plus.

An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted for the requirements listed above.

Work Environment/Physical Demands:
This job operates in a professional remote office environment; this role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines

  • This is largely a sedentary role; however, some mobility is required
  • May work early, late, or occasional weekend hours to accommodate business needs
  • Occasional lifting of a maximum of 30lbs.
  • Minimal travel to other office locations/meeting locations occasionally necessary
  • Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions
