Job Title: Technical Writer, Full Time

The Technical Writer will take a lead role at Empirical Systems Aerospace (ESAero) in the communication and documentation of new technology concepts and processes. The Technical Writer must have outstanding written communication skills and the ability to synthesize and convey technical knowledge in a clear and direct manner to customers in a fast-paced development environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Effectively compile, organize and convey complex technology concepts from interaction with cross-functional teams.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to support documentation deliverables.
• Develop and document the standards to be used corporate wide for to ensure consistency and accuracy of documentation deliverables.
• Publish, maintain, and modify templates for documentation to ensure consistency and objectives are achieved

Education:

Education: 4-year degree in Engineering, Business or a Communication related area.

Experience:

• This position requires a minimum of 2 years of technical writing experience.
• Proficiency with computerized systems and software is required.
• Superb interpersonal skills are required.

Required Skills, Knowledge & Judgment:

• MS Office principles and software
• Internet fundamentals, principles, software
• Analysis and Synthesis: to understand all manner of issues and develop communication to convey to customers.
• Motivated self starter.

Language Skills:

Must have excellent oral and written communication skills. Must be able to communicate effectively with the Customers, Design teams and Project Management teams.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to analyze, synthesize and convey technical information in a written format. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

Physical Demands:

Office environment.

Work Environment:

Work will be conducted in an office environment; onsite required. No travel is planned.
