Description

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Resolves employee HR inquiries by clarifying issues using independent direction; researching and exploring answers and alternative solutions; implementing solutions; and escalating where necessary. Designs and creates new processes/workflows to ensure efficiency and customer satisfaction. Broad HR expertise and knowledge base to address complex employee needs and issues. Utilizes exceptional communication and organizational skills, superior attention to detail and ability to prioritize. Determines when issues need to be escalated to appropriate resource. Creates and manages process templates for accuracy and consistency of information. Identifies trends of calls and develops corresponding training material. Liaison with vendors for claims, coverage and eligibility resolution. May update existing employee or vendor information by processing transactions within the vendor database. Prepares reports and recommends changes to management based on service and knowledge needs of the organization. Provides feedback on the effectiveness and soundness of policies and procedures within the department. Back-up HR programs (i.e., tuition reimbursement, employee hardship, 403b data verification, employment verification, recruitment, health and welfare, life and disability retirement and voluntary plans.) Manages and implements the benefits outreach program to ensure successful partnership with leadership. Conducts New Employee Orientation, Benefits Annual Enrollment Meetings and other employee meetings designated by new HR programs. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A bachelor's degree and three years HR experience, preferably at specialist or generalist level in employee benefits, recruitment, or employee relations.
  • Experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Proficiency in PeopleSoft HCM, Benefit Administration, Query Management, Base Benefits, Microsoft Office and Excel.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS (Medium): 20-50 lbs; 0-33% of the work day (occasionally); 11-25 lbs, 34-66% of the workday (frequently); 01-10 lbs, 67-100% of the workday (constantly); Lifting 50 lbs max; Carrying of objects up to 25 lbs; Occasional to frequent standing & walking, Occasional sitting, Close eye work (computers, typing, reading, writing), Physical demands may vary depending on assigned work area and work tasks ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS: Factors affecting environment conditions may vary depending on the assigned work area and tasks. Environmental exposures include, but are not limited to: Blood-borne pathogen exposure Bio-hazardous waste Chemicals/gases/fumes/vapors Communicable diseases Electrical shock , Floor Surfaces, Hot/Cold Temperatures, Indoor/Outdoor conditions, Latex, Lighting, Patient care/handling injuries, Radiation , Shift work, Travel may be required. Use of personal protective equipment, including respirators, environmental conditions may vary depending on assigned work area and work tasks
