Job Summary
An Accounts Receivable Clerk, is responsible for collecting payments for a company using skills in project management, organization and communications to collect the payments from clients and customers. Accounts Receivable track payments, make banking deposits and run reports for the organization.
Responsibilities• Maintain bookkeeping databases and spreadsheets, updating information as needed
• Maintaining account receivable files and records
• Maintaining the billing system on Retalix (EMD Software)
• Collect payment from customers and accurately record it into the Retalix (EMD System) on a daily basis
• Communicate with previous clients and customers to request payment and arrange payment plans
• Create reports and balance sheets that document overall profits and losses
• Update client accounts (payment or contact information)
• Generating copy of invoices and account statements
• Performing account reconciliations
• Investigating and resolving any irregularities or inquiries
• Advise the sales representative of any outstanding customer invoices
• Analyze the sales commission reports
Skills/Qualifications• Effective communication skills, including active listening, speaking and writing
• Professional business communication skills, including emailing, financial reporting and other department documentation

• Collaboration and teamwork skills
• Project management abilities, including multitasking, prioritization and deadline management
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Working knowledge of accounting and financial processes
• Good math skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Comfortable with computers, accounting software, spreadsheet software and other computer application
• Bi-lingual (optional)
Education/ Experience• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required
• Associate’s degree in Accounting (preferred)
• At least 1 years in Accounts receivable (preferred)
Compensation• Hourly Rate of $16.50
• Paid PTO (Personnel Time Off), 401k matching, Medical Insurance, and Dental Insurance
