Summary: Leads meetings with business and technology partners on moderately complex projects to elicit, analyze, translate, and document business requirements to develop a vision of the final product. Creates detailed, granular and development ready requirements or stories for moderately complex initiatives using the knowledge of business needs and system functionality. Works closely the business stakeholders and delivery team to ensure all identified scenarios are properly tested and defects are resolved. Drives inter-team communication to ensure initiatives meet their intended outcomes, both throughout the initiative and after implementation. Essential Functions: Leads meetings with business and technology partners on moderately complex to complex projects to elicit, analyze, translate, improve, and document business requirements to develop a vision of the final product to support external-facing platforms for our agents and policyholders. Creates detailed, granular and development ready requirements or stories for moderately complex to complex initiatives using the knowledge of the business needs and system functionality Creates testable requirements and/or stories Assists with end-user testing and training tasks Works closely with the business stakeholders and delivery team to ensure all identified scenarios are properly tested and defects are resolved Analyzes impacts and coordinates with other product teams when dependencies are identified Drives inter-team communication to ensure initiatives meet their intended outcomes, both throughout the initiative and after implementation Participates and/or facilitates discussions, decision making and conflict resolution for teams Provides guidance to other business analysts Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience Five years of experience in business analysis, process management, or agile development or related experience Prior experience with software development lifecycles (SDLC), including Agile and Waterfall Professional certifications preferred Experience in financial services industry preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Ability to adapt to new technologies and changing business requirements and priorities Strong meeting facilitation skills using best practices Strong verbal and written communication skills Excellent skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook Good knowledge of process mapping tools such as Lucid Charts, Visio Good knowledge of technical concepts such as client-server, Web applications and/or Cloud Architecture preferred Ability to deal with conflict, and propose solutions for resolution Excellent analytical, problem solving and organization skills Strong knowledge of business analysis and the applicable tools/deliverables Our employment practices are in accord with the laws which prohibit discrimination due to race, color, creed, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, genetic information, religion, age, national origin or ancestry, physical or mental disability, medical condition, veteran status, active military status, citizenship status, marital status or any other consideration made unlawful by federal, state, or local laws.
