Job Purpose
At Elite Metal Finishing, LLC., the Masking Planner is primarily responsible for developing, building, and testing masking templates created via Illustrator. These illustrations must also meet all efficiency and accuracy requirements, based on individual job orders. The incumbent will work closely and communicate with testing teams, production teams, management, and customers. This individual must have excellent analytical and technical skills.
The Masking Planner supports Elite Metal Finishing quality initiatives, which includes Quality Policy, Quality Objectives, and Quality Management System and drives continuous improvement initiatives throughout the organization.
Duties and Responsibilities
Primary duties and responsibilities include:
- Work with customers to obtain approval for new parts.
- Creating new Masking Templates through Adobe Illustrator, based on the requirements of each job order.
- Verifying templates for accuracy with First Article maskers
- Maintain and organize Job Cards in the network.
- Ensure that parts are being handled in a safe, clutter free environment appropriate to their size and geometry.
- Planning, scheduling, and approving masking jobs
- Prioritizing expedited orders and meeting with Production Expeditors to ensure process flow.
- Contacting Quality when a part is damaged, or the finish has been compromised.
- Maintaining Masking equipment performance by establishing maintenance procedures, staff training/compliance, arranging service & repair. Primarily troubleshooting plotter issues
- Implementation of programs, tests, methods, and procedures related to masking processing. This may include ongoing training by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and participating in professional societies.
- Attend Quality meetings and communicate any masking related subjects of discussion into action within the masking department.
- Supporting customer and regulatory audits of Masking functions and activities
- Supporting the Quality Department by participating in audits, corrective action efforts, adjusting in policy/procedure, generating reports and maintaining records
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
Qualifications include:
- Ability to read and interpret Blueprints.
- College Degree preferred – Work Experience Accepted
- Work experience Masking/Testing Environment, preferred.
- Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Suite
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to work overtime and weekends as required by production needs.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.00 - $32.00 per hour
