Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our healthcare providers and ensuring the smooth functioning of our medical practice. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting with patient care, performing administrative tasks, and maintaining a professional and friendly environment for patients. Responsibilities: - Greet patients, take vital signs, and record medical history accurately in electronic medical records (EMR) systems. - Prepare patients for examination, including assisting with dressing and positioning. - Assist healthcare providers during patient examinations, procedures, and treatments. - assist with performing medical procedures. - Schedule patient appointments, coordinate referrals to specialists, and manage patient follow-ups. - Maintain and organize medical supplies, ensuring availability and appropriate stock levels. - Ensure a clean and safe environment in examination rooms, including sanitizing equipment and surfaces regularly. - Provide clear and concise instructions to patients regarding medications, procedures, and follow-up care. - Handle patient inquiries, triage phone calls, and direct patients to the appropriate healthcare providers or departments. - Assist with medical billing and coding, insurance verification, and maintaining accurate patient records. - Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times. Requirements: - High school diploma or equivalent. - Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program is preferred. - Certification as a Medical Assistant is a plus. - Previous experience working as a Medical Assistant in a healthcare setting is desirable. - Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems. - Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and basic patient care practices. - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and healthcare team members. - Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to manage patient flow efficiently. - Attention to detail and accuracy in documenting patient information and performing medical procedures. - Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic healthcare environment. - Commitment to maintaining patient privacy and confidentiality.
