Narrative Job Summary:

IT infrastructure design and administration in support of government boarder program. Provide support for day-to-day operations of network operations center infrastructure in a 24/7 operational production environment.

Major Work Responsibilities: 

• Basic knowledge of networking 

• Ability to create and follow IT related policies and procedures.
• Root Cause analysis of baseline system defects, hardware, and software.
• Administer Windows Active Directory, Group Policies, and Certificate Services. 
• Administer Microsoft SQL servers. 
• Manage network storage devices (SAN / NAS)

• Manage the private PKI infrastructure. 
• Manage single-sign-on and smart card sign-on services. 
• Troubleshoot issues dealing with systems/network and subsystems, identify/analyze root causes, and implement corrective actions. 
• Perform preventive maintenance actions including system back-ups, error log reviews, and database size integrity checks. 
• Perform helpdesk related duties and provide on-call support. 

• Perform other duties and assist with special projects and installments as assigned.

Expected core competencies:

• Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Server and PC Operating Systems 
• Proficient with Linux Operating System

• Advanced working knowledge of computers and computer systems 
• Ability to create and utilize administrative scripts
• Experience with automation tools, such as Ansible.
• Demonstrate strong and effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite products such as Teams, Project, Power Point, Excel and Outlook. 

• Updating and Using Relevant Knowledge — Keeping up-to-date technically and applying new knowledge to your job. 
• Use technical information in operation and maintenance activities 
• Use latest information in the field of training techniques and technologies
• Ability to mentor less knowledgeable team members

Qualifications:

• Must have at least five years of experience including systems administration
• Required certifications: CompTIA A /CompTIA Network or equivalent /Security

• Additional certifications a plus: MCP, MCSA, CCNA, VCP, Storage
• Related military training and/or job experience is a plus
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite products such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Microsoft Teams.
• Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Must be willing to relocate or commute to location in Titusville, FL

U.S. Government background investigation is required
