Elevated Technologies LLC is Hiring an Electrical Engineer II Near Yuma, AZ

Narrative Job Summary:

Elevated Technologies is seeking an Electrical Engineer. This role will be responsible for the design, build, test, and support of payload electronics for industrial and military applications with a potential focus on testing and evaluation of new payload sensors.

Job Responsibilities:

The following are the usual major job duties, but this job description does not preclude the performance of others. 

  • Design and Setup facility control solutions to test Mechanical Components and Systems
  • Program and Schedule Management
  • Integration of Test Facility Sensors and Software
  • Support Mechanical Component and Systems Development/Qualification testing
  • Verification and Validation of test solutions
  • Design Validation for Test set ups and Test facility function
  • Quoting/Estimation of Capital projects
  • RCCA of customer/ development issues
  • Develop and derive requirements
  • Develop conceptual designs in a timely manner - Block diagrams; Circuit System Analysis; Design breadboards
  • Design electrical components - Select components to meet requirements; Develop electrical schematics and supervise circuit board layout design; Organize, hold, and assist with peer and design reviews; Develop HW/SW ICD for software applications
  • Conduct product testing - Develop, conduct, and document CCA level test plans; Assist in main assembly level test planning and design
  • Support engineering build tasks as required
  • Help develop process for performing tasks
  • Production support -Assist in troubleshooting; Support manufacturing and failure review board activities
  • Finish tasks in a timely and allotted amount of time
  • Minimal oversight required for completion of tasks; able to problem solve and address issues without re-direction
  • Able to work multiple tasks simultaneously, accommodate shifting priorities and manage time accordingly

Supporting Work Responsibilities: 

  • Review engineering specifications and design review documents 
  • Support manager and testing engineer to distribute information and release version to customer. 
  • Provide support to customer and staff to duplicate and document software anomalies. 
  • Interview engineers and Field Support Representatives.
  • Read and create engineering drawings.
  • Applicant will have to assist with training, documentation and become certified on the surveillance system. 
  • Review Field Modification Procedures for implementation to TM’s 
  • Review and evaluate previously existing training materials 
  • Support engineers with testing of prototype systems and pre-released software. 
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned 
  • Technical support to fielded systems CONUS and OCONUS

Expected core competencies:

  • Familiar with Microsoft PC Operating Systems 
  • General working knowledge of computers and computer systems to enable the effective execution of work. 
  • Must demonstrate basic knowledge, education and experience in any of the following software code languages C, C , C#, Java, Python or Swift.
  • Demonstrate strong and effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite products such as Teams, Project, Power Point, Excel and Outlook. 
  • Updating and Using Relevant Knowledge — Keeping up-to-date technically and applying new knowledge to your job. 
  • Use technical information in operation and maintenance activities 
  • Use latest information in the field of training techniques and technologies 
  • Software design experience with National Instrument Test Stand, LabVIEW and Python
  • Hardware experience with interface circuits and Test Adapters
  • Individuals who take the initiative to get things done, do things before being asked by others or forced to by events
  • Work with minimal direction, RCCA, Experience with Research, Development and Production grade Hardware and Software
  • Individuals that assemble facts from various areas, analyze data, and provide informed recommendations
  • Effectively using data to make intelligent decisions
  • Multi-tasking and has the ability to manage a variety of complex tasks
  • Experience writing and presenting Technical correspondence and data analysis
  • Proven track record developing test software and hardware
  • Must have the ability to work effectively in both a team and as an individual contributor to meet customer expectations

Education Requirement:

  •  BS or MS in electrical engineering
  • COMPTIA Security

Experience:

  • 5 years of electrical engineering experience
  •  Related military training and/or job experience is a plus 
  •  High speed interface design (USB 3.0, PCIe, SATA, etc.)
  •  Power supply design (Switching supplies, LDO, etc.)
  •  EMI experience (MIL-STD-461, FCC, CE Mark, etc.)
  •  Proficient in the tools required to conduct the job

May substitute some education requirements with a combination of education and experience provided course work is still in process of being completed and is within 18 months of completion.

On the Job Training and certifications 

Due to the unique and dynamic nature of this position, employees will be provided with paid training for industry certifications in Information Technology. Those certifications include Comp TIA A and Security . In addition, employees will be trained and certified in the operations of aerostats. Certifications will be required to pass within 6 months of employment and must be maintained for continued employment. A cash bonus will be paid after 6 months of employment for any personnel hired with current certifications for any of the above skills and provide copies of the certifications.
