ElevateBio is Hiring a Lab Manager Intern Near Waltham, MA

The Role:

ElevateBio is looking for a part-time Lab Management Intern/contractor for the Cellular Engineering Team. This individual will report to the Lab Manager, Cellular Engineering and will work closely with scientist and operations teams to help support the general organization and operations of the R&D lab. Experience with organization and inventory is preferred, but not required. An ideal candidate is ready to be hands on and work on projects as needed as well as ready to adapt and learn. Candidates interested in science or operations will excel in the roll and have many opportunities to learn about the industry.

Here’s What You’ll Do:

  • Help organize lab equipment and equipment resources.
  • Assist in the laboratory move to the new Elevatebio facility by organizing, labelling, and cleaning of equipment, as well as packing up boxes.
  • Helping with lab inventory management; purchasing lab and maintaining consumable stocks, as well as organizing and maintaining the lab space.
  • Maintain physical sample inventory and databases in our electronic notebook system (Benchling).
  • Prepare samples for shipping to third parties/vendors.
  • Work with procurement, facilities, and EHS as needed.
  • Some help with laboratory work if appropriate

Requirements:

  • High School diploma, no technical experience required
  • Experience with Microsoft office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) is preferred
  • Detail-oriented, organized, technically competent, and able to maintain written records
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic environment with a strong work ethic 
  • Excellent team player with good interpersonal and communication skills
