Position Title: Actuarial Analyst Job Description: Actuarial Analyst Location: Denver, CO; Indianapolis, IN; Mason, OH; Atlanta, GA; Louisville, KY; St. Louis, MO; Waukesha, WI; Richmond, VA; Norfolk, VA; Woodland Hills, CA; New York, NY; Wallingford, CT This position will take part in Elevance Health's hybrid work model which includes remote work and in-office collaboration with the minimum in-office commitment being 1-2 days in an office per week. The Actuarial Analyst is responsible for assisting in the determination of reserves. Analyzes, develops, and validates statistical data. How You Will Make an Impact: Primary duties may include, but are not limited to: Under limited supervision, applies the appropriate actuarial analytical tools to the data and performs preliminary actuarial and statistical analysis. Uses actuarial reserving models for monthly reserve calculations. Refines and collects appropriate data for actuarial analysis and ensures its reasonableness and accuracy by coordination within the division. Minimum Requirements: Requires a BA/BS degree and to have passed a minimum of one Society of Actuaries (SOA) or Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS) actuarial exam; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences: Knowledge of actuarial and statistical modeling techniques used in actuarial projections Demonstrated teamwork and leadership ability, as evidenced in extracurricular activities Exceptional written, oral, and interpersonal communications Exceptional in problem-solving and critical thinking Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Access, Visual Basic, and Word) For candidates working in person or remotely in the below locations, the salary* range for this specific position is $ $59,840 to $ $107,712 Locations: California; Colorado; Nevada; Washington State; Jersey City, NJ; New York City, NY; Ithaca, NY and Westchester County, NY In addition to your salary, Elevance Health offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
