VP, Finance at Elemy

Elemy is looking for a Vice President of Finance to head financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and analysis. This high impact role will work alongside, and report to, the interim CFO, and will partner closely with members of the leadership team across every aspect of Elemy’s business. The ideal candidate has a strategic lens towards big-picture initiatives that are relevant to a fast-paced, tech-enabled marketplace operating across diverse geographic regions.

What You’ll Do

• Lead the FP&A function, optimize Elemy’s financial infrastructure, direct strategic finance needs, and provide senior oversight to each of Elemy’s departments
• Build detailed financial models and dashboards that track and analyze key business drivers and trends; report key metrics in a manner that is easily digestible by management and investors
• Lead the process for annual budget, quarterly, and monthly financial forecasts and ongoing analysis of actuals versus planned and/or forecast
• Work directly with Elemy’s leadership and Board of Directors to provide financial visibility and insights into areas of the business by executing high-quality and timely analysis and commentary
• Collaborate closely with colleagues at multiple levels, across multiple functions and with key operational teams to provide a consolidated financial outlook and FP&A support when needed
• Develop metrics to track team-specific and company-wide trends, identify opportunities, and provide recommendations; partner with legal to establish new entities and create structure for new businesses

Who You Are

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Accounting or similar field (MBA preferred)
• 10 years of relevant and progressive strategic finance experience, preferably in preparing a fast-growing start-up for scale
• A passion for building and transforming; proven experience leading complex workstreams and nimbleness in evolving people, processes, and systems
• Expert project management skills, accuracy and attention to detail; the ability to prioritize efficiently and work autonomously in a rapidly changing environment
• Experience working closely with, and providing recommendations to, senior executives to help make critical business decisions
• Strong communication and financial storytelling skills, including preparation of presentation materials for investor relations and board updates
