Electronic Systems Sioux Falls is Hiring a Senior Program Manager Near Sioux Falls, SD

SUMMARY: Responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating activities of designated programs to ensure that financial and project goals/objectives are accomplished within the appropriate timeframe/budget. Serve as the key liaison between Electronic Systems, Inc., and the customer.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

(E) = Essential Duties

 (E) 1. Direct quotation process on existing customers’ new products including:

  • Serving as main customer interface on bid preparation and proposals.
  • Obtaining accurate and complete information from the customer in order to prepare bids.
  • Providing bid information to Purchasing and Manufacturing Engineering.
  • Resolving bid information discrepancies with customers and internal Purchasing and Manufacturing Engineering teams.
  • Obtaining bid inputs from Purchasing and Manufacturing Engineering teams and assembling into a quotation for submission to the customer.
  • (E) 2. Coordinate the introduction of new products into the manufacturing system including:
  • Developing and maintaining product introduction schedule/timeline for program.
  • Coordinating the review of program requirements such as staffing, capacity, capital, and quality requirements.
  • Coordinating the building of prototypes through appropriate areas.
  • Serving as focal point for resolving start-up issues with both internal and external customers.

(E) 3. Responsible for assuring the profitability of customer programs by:

  • Preparing reports for monthly cost meetings.
  • Reviewing profitability of each customer on a monthly basis.
  • Analyzing, recommending, and implementing customer deletions as appropriate.
  • Analyzing and recommending internal improvements to improve customer profitability as appropriate.

 (E) 4. Responsible for developing requotes on new orders including:

  • Researching and analyzing prior product history dealing with quotes, material, and labor.
  • Preparing requotes as required and document reason for change.

 (E) 5. Coordinate product documentation from customer with Document Control including:

  • Understanding and communicating product assembly issues with the customer.
  • Signing off "Engineering Changes" and approving “Engineering Action Requests" documentation.
  • Interfacing with internal Materials/Purchasing and Engineering teams to help resolve material change issues as needed.

 (E) 6. Responsible for management of customer inventory by:

  • Driving to corporate inventory turns goal.
  • Coordinating the sale of excess and obsolete inventory.
  • Presenting potential obsolete inventory and working with the customer on resolution/disposition to recover costs.

 (E) 7. Provide value analysis for customer products to assist in reducing overall cost.

 (E) 8. Set up business reviews and prepare the presentation for these reviews.

9. Host customers and coordinate customer visits at ESI.

10. Participate in special projects.

11. Perform all other duties as assigned.

PRE-REQUISITE: Four-year college degree in Business (preferred), Engineering (Industrial or Electrical) or its equivalent desired. A minimum of ten years experience in electronics manufacturing with experience in managing manufacturing projects/programs desired. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills. Must possess working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. Experience in training and working in a team-oriented environment desired.

CONTACTS: Frequent external and internal contacts with outside customers, resource people, and associates.

WORKING CONDITIONS: General office and production environment.

ACCOUNTABILITY: The Senior Program Manager is accountable for presenting a professional image both in the office and at outside activities. Must demonstrate good informational development and decision-making skills, and provide customers prompt, concise responses to their concerns. Manages time well. Accountable for practicing and promoting safe working habits, compliance with Company policies/procedures, and contribution to the overall Electronic Systems, Inc. team.
