Overview

Our client, in Charlottesville, VA is seeking a Director of Information Technology to support their Enterprise Infrastructure team for a full-time Direct Hire engagement. This team oversees all wired and wireless networking including intranet access.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for a team of 12 network engineers, and 5 network distribution technicians with a manager
• Leads the strategy for the network evolution, in terms of services and technology
• Interface with the private and public cloud and storage teams in the Enterprise Infrastructure organization
• Interface with customers and ITS customer support functions to handle escalations, problems, and cases in which more complicated solutions and consults arise

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years of experience with Network Architecture OR Equivalent combination of education, experience, and certifications
• Experience in designing/operating large-scale networks
• At least 3 years of management experience
• Demonstrated experience in Network operations best practices: Reliability, change control, Root cause analysis, CMDB, documentation (ITILv4 practices)
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• CCNA or equivalent certification
