Electro Scientific Industries is Hiring an Operations Finance Manager Near Beaverton, OR
Spectra-Physics, Ophir, Newport and ESI are brands within the MKS Instruments Photonics Solutions division. We provide a full range of solutions including lasers for precision industrial and scientific research applications, laser and LED measurement, beam profiling, precision motion control, optical tables and vibration isolation systems, photonics instruments, temperature sensing, opto-mechanical components, optical elements, and systems for flexible PCB laser processing, high-speed MLCC testing, and CO2-laser-based systems HDI PCB and IC substrate manufacturing. We are looking for an exceptional Operations Finance Manager for Equipment Solutions Division (ESD) who can provide financial leadership to the ESD Operations organization. This includes a partnership with the Manufacturing and Service leadership team of ESD providing forward-looking financial guidance and analysis ensuring that effective reporting and controls are in place to help drive growth and profitability of the business. The Finance Manager is also responsible for ensuring financial outcomes are consistent with MKS goals, models, and expectations, identifying areas for improvement and providing alternative solutions. Direct involvement with business managers on Cost of Goods Sold projections, profit modeling, cost initiatives, and various financial/business management issues is required. Responsibilities in this role: Partner with the Manufacturing and Service leadership of ESD in assessing the factories and field service operations; identify & drive strategic initiatives to increase overall profitability through efficiency and cost improvements and cost controls. Aid in the preparation & presentation of Monthly Business Review package to provide management with key results, analysis, input, and information required to ensure adequate control and accountability. Develop and roll-out standardized cost accounting, inventory policies & key business metrics for all factories and field service operations worldwide for ESD. Participate in developing and rolling out SAP system improvements & initiatives, End to end cost and margin visibility by Product Line. Manage the preparation & consolidation of the annual Plan of Record process for the ESD manufacturing and service organizations. Monitor and report on pricing, volume, and mix trends of the business. Provide Support to Division Controller and Internal Audit teams as required, such as SEC disclosure, SOX controls, GAAP compliance and external audit requirements. What will you bring to the team, along with your curiosity and grit: Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting, MBA is preferred, CMA/CPA is a plus 7 years of overall experience working in Finance Business Partnering or FP&A with good working knowledge of financial concepts and accounting principles ERP/MRP/Financial systems experiences required (Oracle, SAP, Hyperion) Results-driven go-getter with excellent problem-solving skills and sound business decision-making skills with ability to simultaneously manage multiple priorities and operate in a highly dynamic matrix environment Strong interpersonal, listening and communication skills Fast learner who is highly analytical, execution-focused and delivers upon commitment Ability to balance speed and accuracy, while working with multiple internal and external stakeholders to meet and beat deliverables MKS is an equal opportunity employer, including disability, veteran status and all categories protected by law.
