Overview

Elderwood Administrative Services is seeking a Treasury Analyst to join our corporate team!

This positon will have onsite requirements at the corporate office located in Buffalo, NY. 

The Treasury Department manages all bank accounts and daily activity for the Company to ensure all cash transactions are properly safeguarded, authorized and recorded.

The Senior Analyst will join a team focused on providing cash management, forecasting, and oversight as well as identifying, developing, and implementing strategies for mitigating risk across all of Elderwood’s portfolio of businesses including Pharma, Living Facility and Pediatric.

The Treasury department is a dynamic and fast paced organization. As such, the successful candidate should have a passionate interest in process improvements, and the ability to analyze data and systems. The ideal candidate will be an effective communicator who can collaborate and build strong relationships with stakeholders across the company and external banking partners.

The Treasury Analysts work closely with various departments within an organization, such as finance, accounting, and risk management, to develop strategies and recommendations for optimizing the organization’s financial performance. They also may be responsible for managing relationships with financial institutions and other external partners.

Responsibilities

• Reviews and determines the current cash position of the organization through bank account reconciliation and by obtaining information from internal departments and business units.
• Responsible for ensuring the accuracy and maintenance of the full fiscal year cash flow forecast as well as recommending and implementing updates to improve overall processing.
• Frequent interaction with external banking institution contacts to address any account maintenance or issues as they arise and will assist with compliance requirements received from US banks.
• Has familiarity with and an understanding of monthly journal entries and reconciling associated general ledger accounts. In addition, can coordinate with other internal departments to ensure proper recording of all Treasury related transactions and resolution of issues.
• High degree of Treasury analysis for management’s review including but not limited to cash flow analysis, financial planning and estimating, budget analysis, and interest rate.
• Maintain all processes/procedures document updates, maintain banking relationships, PCI compliance. Performs all other special projects as assigned.
• Prepares daily cash position reporting and funding of all accounts Manages monthly outstanding check balances and make adjustments to cash reporting as needed
• Navigates through various banking portals to monitor account balances, exceptions, ACH debits.
• Administers banking portal access for new users; checks scanning equipment and credit card processors.
• Manage all opening/closing documents on new accounts and bank account closures. Records and manually post all bank transfers within accounting system (e.g. Great Plains).
• Prepares and submits daily positive paycheck & ACH files to lenders and manages all exceptions.
• Manage ad hoc projects
• Manages Resident Fund Management Service (RFMS) documents, account set up within RFMS, signers and flow of funds.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
• Minimum of three to five years of experience in a treasury department
• Working knowledge of internal controls around banking transactions and standard banking practices
• Experienced with Microsoft Office (specifically Excel) and accounting platforms (e.g. Great Plains)
• Experience in 3rd party and inter-company transactions (ACH, Wire and Bank Transfers) desire
• This position requires regular interaction with residents, coworkers, visitors, and/or supervisors. In order to ensure a safe work environment for residents, coworkers, visitors, and/or supervisors of the Company, and to permit unfettered communication between the employee and those residents, coworkers, visitors, and supervisors, this position requires that the employee be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language at an intermediate or more advanced level.
