A Senior Financial Analyst is professional-level position responsible for providing guidance and direction of the research, planning, analysis, and reporting of the organization’s financial reporting and accounting operations; as well as providing services to organizational leaders in support of the analysis functions in their financial services department and its varied operations. In this role the incumbent routinely works with a high level of self-initiative, authority, and responsibility in performing professional technical and operational management following well-established procedures and demonstrating independent judgment in their execution. The Senior Financial Analyst must possess an advanced and comprehensive knowledge, experience, and understanding to serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and informational resource on accounting and financial operations of the organization; providing recommendations and solutions that will support effective and successful decision-making by executive leadership and the Board of Directors. The primary goal of the El Rio Community Health Center Senior Financial Analyst is to support El Rio’s Mission of providing comprehensive, quality health care that is affordable and accessible to all who may have healthcare needs, by successfully performing the primary essential functions. Minimum Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in an Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field from an approved and accredited college or university; Five (5) years’ progressive experience in a financial analyst role in a healthcare environment;Preferred Education, Experience, Skills, Abilities: Master’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field from an approved and accredited college or university; Three (3) years’ experience in a supervisory position. Experience in a healthcare environment; Certified Public Accountant (CPA); Certified Financial Analyst (CFA). If applicable, equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered, and must be directly related to the functions and responsibilities of the job. Required Licenses, Certifications, and Registrations: Employees in this position are required to have reliable transportation that can meet any operational reassignments of the organization during the workday. If an employee is driving during work hours, the employee is required to possess a valid driver’s license and must be in compliance with Arizona vehicle insurance requirements.
