In our New York office, we focus particularly in Marketing Science and the deployment of our ‘MMO’ offer (Marketing Mix Optimization), either through analytics as a service or building industrialized solutions.The role: With our expertise in Data Engineering, we support our clients in their Data Transformation so that they can carry out ambitious data-oriented initiatives. We advise our clients in the choice of the most appropriate technology as well as in the implementation of robust and scalable Data Architectures. Our mission is also to support projects in Business Intelligence & industrialization of algorithms. In this context, we are looking to hire our first Senior Data Engineer in our NY office, who will carry out various projects with strong strategic impact and end-to-end for prestigious clients. More specifically, your responsibilities are to:· Carry out the implementation of tailor-made, high-performance, scalable solutions;· Identify and provide tools and advice for data ingestion, processing, and analysis and empower other domains in gaining valuable Insights through them· Be the subject matter expert, advising and building solutions, in the contexts of PoC, Datalab or Datalake· Implement complex algorithms in a Big Data environment;· Operational lead & mentoring;· Manage the technical relationship between Ekimetrics and our clients in the US and internationally;· Develop and share your knowledge in your project teams but also in the context of exciting, Innovation and R&D topics The primary focus of your role will be to lead the data engineering practices within your project teams and ensure that we are delivering highly valuable and effective data science solutions that meet the client’s needs. You will be working in teams of 2 to 3 consultants, on 1 to 2 projects simultaneously, and involved throughout the whole project lifecycle, from first discovery meetings all the way through to final recommendations, meaning you’re adding both operational and strategic value to our clients. As a Senior, you’ll be proactively supporting the Managers in building high-end client materials and commercial proposals and adding to our commercial viability by helping to find the right balance between project profitability and excellence in delivery. Internally, you are an Eki ambassador, mentoring your junior colleagues and actively engaging in transversal topics, such as, thought leadership, innovation streams, knowledge management, and recruitment.About You You are a Data engineer, with hands on experience building data pipelines and comfortable doing so autonomously. You ideally have worked across multiple projects end to end, experience partnering with data scientists or other senior stakeholders, both internally or client-side. You’re looking for the next step and the opportunity to work in a small team You’ll need to have some prior experience of data architecture, engineering, and analytics in a business setting, preferably in a service provider, consulting firm or within a highly regarded global corporation with a strong reputation for analytics. Ideally, you’ll have:· Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field or prior years industry experience.· Experience in either one or more major cloud (Azure, AWS, GCP) platform architecture, developing data engineering pipelines.· Experience building data products incrementally and integrating and managing data sets from multiple sources.· in key technologies related to data management, (e.g., SQL, Spark, Python),· Familiar in at least some aspects of data management itself, (e.g., governance processes and platforms, data visualization, transformation in data-warehouses or data-lakes)· Ability to apply analytical and creative thought process· Passion for data, extensive knowledge in statistics or applied mathematics, experience with techniques such as Machine Learning You’ll also need:· Cloud Certification is a plus (although there are opportunities to achieve certification once you’re with us)· Experience building/operating highly available, distributed systems of data extraction, ingestion, and processing of large data sets.· Experience leading large-scale data warehousing and analytics projects.· Experience providing technical leadership and mentor other engineers for the best practices on the data engineering space.· Experience mentoring team members on best practices.· Desire to develop your career within consulting environment.
