Job Description

Are you a Help Desk Support Specialist passionate about providing unparalleled front-line support and customer service? Do you have a solid technical skill set and good interpersonal skills? Eichleay has an immediate need for a Help Desk Support Specialist to join our team. In this role you will report directly to the Manger of Technology Services and be based in the company's headquarters located in Concord, CA. Your responsibilities will include accomplishing information technology tasks within an engineering office environment. This is is a hybrid position and will require spending some time in the office.  Office time is somewhat flexible depending on need.

Compensation:  $17-$21 per hour  *Anticipated rate may vary based on qualifications, experience and location.

MOVE FORWARD WITH EICHLEAY

We are seeking a hard-working and outgoing teammate that can use their troubleshooting, problem assessment, and investigating skills to provide excellent front-line support to our internal Technology Services customers. The team you will be a part of is collaborative and does not expect you to have full knowledge of everything you might be exposed to. Our team is happy to provide hands-on direction and training to help you learn. Much of what you do will be directed, but not directly supervised, so bring a good work ethic, sense of pride in your work, and matching accountability for outcomes. 

JOB DUTIES:

  • Provide outstanding customer support in person, over the phone, by email, Teams and via our ticketing system.
  • Provide exceptional front-line support.
  • Ensure complete and accurate deployment of computers, laptops, tablets, phones, and other company provided devices, including complete responsibility for associated inventory control.
  • Work closely with a system administrator to perform some entry level network and server administration tasks including user management, access control assignment, password resets, and remote access troubleshooting.
  • Ability to identify where processes can be improved and communicate those changes to your team/manager to improve efficiency.
  • Our users and our team will be depending on you to provide a phenomenal user experience.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • 2-year technical degree, OR intensive technical Boot Camp experience (any technical camp for front line/help desk support) AND 1 -3 years’ experience in the Information Technology (IT) space. (Experience will be considered in lieu of a formal education)
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds, climb under desks, etc.
  • Good listening and comprehension skills to resolve problems.
  • Good inquiry and investigation skill with being upfront and asking questions when you do not know something.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office 365
  • Understanding of basic networking technologies such as DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, and NetBIOS.
  • Basic understand of Virtual Computing concepts and applications.
  • Strong written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills, as you will need to provide information and accept direction using methods of information exchange.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

  • Some knowledge of Active Directory, VPN connections, and client/server relationships preferred.
  • Imaging software experience and deployments
