Eagle Global Scientific, LLC is seeking a qualified individual to support our work with the National Center on Birth Defects and Developmental Disabilities as a Web Developer and Jr. Data Manager. The candidate will provide web content analysis, design and web development support services including but not limited to: Work with Office Automation tools such as Word, PowerPoint, and ExcelEnsure activities comply with CDC required confidentiality policies and procedures Create and update CDC web pages in a customized WordPress WCMS utilizing CDC templates based on designer mock-ups, using WordPress, HTML, CSS, and JavaScriptCreate, update and revise web pages according to agency, center and division standardsUse HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and JQuery to fix website issuesCreate and optimize Section 508 compliant images and PDFs for the web using Adobe Photoshop and Adobe AcrobatManage the publishing of YouTube videos, including ensuring that all videos meet all CDC and federal video requirements such as Section 508 compliancyEnsure all web pages and web files are compliantDesign and program web-based interfaces and supporting applicationsTest software to ensure proper functionality, troubleshoot problems, and resolve technical issues Ensure data entry, completeness, and qualityQualifications:Experience in producing Section 508-compliant materials in various formatsDetailed understanding of hand-coding in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, JQueryCustom WordPress site developmentTest software to ensure proper functionality, troubleshoot problems, and resolve technical issues Ability to work independently and efficiently in a team environment with support of supervisor and senior staffProficiency in software and languages listed above; willingness to learn new softwareExcellent time management and organizationExperience with evidence-based design research is desirable
