TITLE: Oracle Database Administrator WHAT YOU’LL DO: The Oracle Database Administrator is responsible for the administration and the engineering of multiple production and non-production databases on AWS RDS platform. This role oversees the administration of the application, the access management, the configuration, the optimization, and the monitoring of the different databases. The Oracle Database Administrator will also work with Architects, Developers and Infrastructure and Cloud Engineers to design the solution and determine the best way to optimize the clients’ databases. Maintain an AWS RDS hosted Oracle database in a 24X7 environment Troubleshooting performance issues, Disk, Memory and CPU utilization within AWS and propose solutions Participate in performance tuning and optimization activities, work with the developers and suggest performance improvements Ensure environment availability and performance of all clients’ databases Monitor the Database Server Performance daily Administrate AWS jobs, alerts and backups Ability to write alert scripts which monitor DB specific situations Collaborate with Security and Architecture teams to ensure compliance with regulations Develop and implement policies and procedures related to data security and integrity. Collaborate with the support team on ticket resolution Adhere to Organizational Change Management, Incident Management and Request Management processes in support of production and non-production environments during Month End Closing (Clients ruining their calculations) Ensure work schedule availability, on an on-call basis, overnight at times, to attend to global clients’ inquiries or urgent calls, in coordination with the Management Team WHAT YOU’VE DONE: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent Minimum 7 years of previous experience in Oracle database administration Strong technical working knowledge and hands-on experience with Oracle Relational Database Management System (Enterprise and Standard Editions) Prior experience with High Availability, Performance Management, Masking and Sub setting Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) for monitoring and troubleshooting issues in Production environments Experience with SQL, PL/SQL developments Experience with Oracle, Unix/Linux, Shell Experience with public cloud (AWS/ Azure) RDBMS design and engineering Strong analytical skills Flexible to prioritize and adapt to changes; Ability to multitask several projects and requests at a time Strong Customer Focus / Service orientation; Ability to work independently and collaborative in a team environment Attention to manage high workload while demonstrating accuracy and thoroughness to meet productivity standards; Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Strong level of initiative to seek opportunities towards efficiency DESIRED SKILLS: Experience with IDE tools such SQL Developer, PL/SQL Developer or Toad Experience with ETL tools such as Talend French language knowledge WHAT WE STAND FOR: Our global company celebrates & leverages the differences each employee brings to the table.
