Summary

The Inventory Planning Analyst will work closely with the CEO/Executive Team and be responsible for working with the sales forecasting and production planning team to manage the cost and production of raw material and finished goods in an effective manner.

The individual will correspond directly with vendors creating PO’s and with production facilities offshore creating work orders based on data from company generated forecasts and factory generated yield reports. Using the data the individual will analyze and recommend the most cost effective and profitable production work orders and purchases.

Key activities

• Develop and report to the executive team KPI’s, analytics and metrics to help maximize profitability
• Create monthly production plan and communicate work orders to offshore factories
• Analyze and recommend purchases and production to meet the demand of forecasted sales.
• Analyze and recommend product specifications that optimize the value of raw material.
• Analyze value output of various sources of raw material to maximize yield and return
• Manage old and obsolete inventory
• Establish minimum inventory levels, order quantities and safety stock levels.
• Coordinate and interact with management, sales, production, warehousing, and accounting to achieve set objectives.

The successful candidate will have:

• At least 4 years of professional experience in production environment managing product inventories and planning and managing production scheduling for products.
• Bachelor’s degree
• Experience in forecasting, procurement, production, and/or movement of materials or finished goods inventory, MRP
• Prior experience working in SAP Business One or similar integrated MRP systems is preferred.
• Outstanding analytical skills, especially using Microsoft Office products.
• Previous experience in manufacturing or food related production is preferred but not required
