Description

Customer Service Representative

Educators Resource, a leading supplier of educational products, is recruiting for a Customer Service Representative. This key role manages relationships between the company and a group of assigned client accounts.

This is a tremendous opportunity for a go-getter who is looking for a foot in the door with a growing company poised for explosive growth.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Be the go-to person and a trusted advisor: build relationships with customers to ensure satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Exceed customer expectations.
  • Serve as a consultant regarding products, their features and benefits and availability.
  • Provide order details to customers such as estimated shipment and delivery dates.
  • Act as a liaison between the customer and sales, purchasing and operations control.
  • Proactively anticipate customer needs and solve problems.
  • Accurately process customer transactions including orders and credits.


Core Competencies

Skills, Talent, and Experience

  • Experience in a customer service environment, preferable with account management
  • Good computer skills including navigating order management systems, customer databases, and Microsoft products such as Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Ability to quickly learn new software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience in business correspondence.
  • Customer satisfaction focused and results oriented.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and not afraid to engage in difficult conversations.
  • Ability to accurately document in writing, key points and information regarding customer interactions and issues.
  • Detail-oriented, with strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Able to manage multiple and competing work priorities, demands and changes.
  • Can enter data quickly and proficiently (25-30 wpm) and 10-key proficient.
  • High school diploma, three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
