SUMMARY: The Production Lead creates and maintains a professional environment, provides guidance, instructions, direction, and leadership to a group of other individuals to achieve a key result or group of aligned results. This position will lead up to 15 staffers while at times be performing their own assignment/tasks. The production lead will at times take on responsibilities of a general production staff employee.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure safety for oneself and all employees regardless of who is their direct report
• Oversee, train, and assist staff working on tasks
• Check tasks for any known mistakes, assist staff in fixing challenges, and provide solutions to avoid future mistakes
• Maintain established efficiencies and expectations
• Communicate to supervisor/manager any areas of concern as they arise
• Maintain established workplace rules, policies, and procedures
• Maintain a clean and safe workstation
• Follow and enforce safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment
• All other duties and responsibilities as assigned which may include working in any aspects of operations or other departments

• Professional, dependable, and reliable with a strong work ethic and organizational skills
• Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Must have the ability to present information and respond to questions from all sources
• Must be able to perform a job from oral or written instructions
• Must have the ability to maintain composure to control emotions under stress using tact, good judgment, and the ability to work with others as a team

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is constantly required to stand, kneel, sit, push and pull objects and use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms.
• Must be able to constantly lift objects approximately 35lbs overhead and below the waist
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
• Must be able to work on foot for extended periods of time
• Must be able to tolerate moderate-to-high noise level in a warehouse environment
• Must be able to work in extreme (hot or cold) weather conditions

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

• Must be available to work 1st or 2nd shift as needed based on production schedule demands as production schedules, and shifts may change throughout the year.
