Education Analytics is Hiring a Remote Human Resources Generalist

Education Analytics is a non-profit organization that provides partners with meaningful data and analytics to inform policy decisions. We help our partners find rigorous and innovative ways to better understand and support students, teachers, and leaders through advanced research methodologies, cutting-edge reporting and visualizations, and data infrastructure that improves access to student data.

Description

The Human Resource Generalist performs human-resource-related duties at the professional level and may carry out responsibilities in all the following
functional areas: compliance, administration, hiring and recruiting, payroll and benefits. This role has a heavy focus on candidate experience recruiting;
recruiting operations and insights, sourcing, and talent brand.

Recruiting for multiple positions.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Design and lead recruitment strategy, including sourcing, talent brand, diversity equity and inclusion (DEI), and recruitment insights
  • Manage the hiring and onboarding process, including recruiting, candidate management, conducting and coordinating interviews and phone screens, reviewing resumes, performing reference checks, completing offers, conducting new hire orientation and training
  • Leading the recruitment, design, and coordination of the summer internship program
  • Maintain all employee and applicant documentation as dictated by governing agencies
  • Prepares employee separation notices and related documentation, and conducts exit interviews to determine the reasons behind separations.
  • Maintain employee personnel files
  • Process map workflows and document procedures
  • Manage SOC2 requirements of functional area
  • Manage, edit, and review handbooks
  • Assist with training related to interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance review, compliance, and sexual harassment
  • Back up for Payroll Administration
  • Implement and manage Affirmative Action plan

Education And Experience

  • Associate or Bachelors's degree or equivalent training in related field
  • HR Certification
  • 2-4 years of demonstrated experience in human resources

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Highly detail-oriented, analytic, energetic, critical thinking skills, and self-motivated
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills
  • Comfortable working in an environment in which organization processes, tools, deadlines, etc., are continually being established and evolving
  • Comfortable with change – knows how and when to be an effective, successful change agent
  • Resourceful in overcoming roadblocks that hinder processes
  • Committed to creating & searching for new and innovative approaches
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and facilitation skills
  • High degree of organizational and time management skills; able to set and manage expectations
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Technical writing
  • Thorough understanding of human resource methods and best practices, as well as policies and federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
