Overview

Salary $60,000 year

Title: Community Engagement Manager

Classification: Exempt

Scope of Position

  • Lead the community engagement staff with a vision for high quality customer service and integrated knowledge of all services available through the PA CareerLink Philadelphia system.
  • Directly supervise and guide the Community Engagement and Community WIOA Coordinators in their specified scopes of service of community awareness and services.
  • Ensure that PA CareerLink Philadelphia is represented in the community, over the phone, through various social media platforms, and virtually with professional, caring, and knowledgeable staff
  • Closely coordinate partner inquiries, service requests, and collaboration opportunities with the One-Stop Operator and Philadelphia Works

Responsibilities

Essential Functions

  • Identify strategies and execute plans to increase PA CareerLink Philadelphia service awareness and usage
  • Collaborate with the Digital Media Producer and Philadelphia Works’ Communication Team on marketing materials, social media content, engagement, and monthly newsletters.
  • Develop and coordinate resources and partnerships that will increase service opportunities for customers
  • Oversee the PA CareerLink Philadelphia toll free line and email account to ensure accurate reporting, analysis of trends, and ongoing improvement of information available
  • Evolve referral process to ensure individuals interested in intensive program services are successfully enrolled at a PA CareerLink center of their preference.
  • Continually evolve presentation materials to share with community members and organizations on PA CareerLink Philadelphia Services
  • Works with Site Administrators, One-Stop Operator, and Philadelphia Works to ensure that any event or partner that wants PA CareerLink Philadelphia to present information is successfully coordinated.
  • Support Re-Entry Specialists with community-based service delivery and responsiveness to needs of the Office of Re-Entry Partnerships and Re-Entry Coalition.
  • Facilitate and participate in meetings with funders and stakeholders.
  • Facilitate team meetings with all departments to ensure all team members are working cooperatively
  • Monitor the team’s success indicators and collaboratively develop plans of improvement and/or cross train team members on best practices
  • Responsible for data tracking of every service provided and utilization of the state system of record, CWDS, as well as the team-wide reporting platform. Data capture is a daily responsibility.
  • Implement project management skills, tools, and methods
  • Complete leadership tasks including interviews, performance reviews, and feedback sessions with Facilitators.
  • Demonstrate fluid approach to work and actively be part of continuous improvement

Qualifications

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 3-5 years of human service, workforce service, and/or community development required
  • Prior supervisory experience preferred
  • Ability to interact with a wide variety of individuals and demonstrate a positive professional attitude
  • Experience working in a team-oriented environment
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft products
  • Must be comfortable with local travel
  • Able to work independently with little to no supervision
