Overview
Edgewater is seeking a Senior Java Developer to support a major national laboratory. You will analyze functional business applications and design specifications for functional areas such as finance, accounting, personnel, manpower, logistics, and contracts. You will develop block diagrams and logic flow charts, translate detailed design into computer software and test, debug, and refine the computer software to produce the required product. You will need experience in information system design, including application programming on large-scale database management systems and the development of complex software to satisfy design objectives.
Responsibilities
- Analyze functional business applications and design specifications for functional areas such as finance, accounting, personnel, manpower, logistics, and contracts.
- Develop block diagrams and logic flow charts.
- Translate detailed design into computer software.
- Test, debug, and refine the computer software to produce the required product.
- Prepare required documentation, including both program-level and user-level documentation. Enhance software to reduce operating time or improve efficiency.
- Provide technical direction to programmers to ensure program deadlines are met.
- Experience in information system design, including application programming on large-scale database management systems and the development of complex software to satisfy design objectives.
Qualifications
- BS Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Software Engineering plus 8 years’ experience
- Candidate must have a BS/BA and 8 years of experience as a full-stack software development experience using Jav
- Candidate can start uncleared and work remotely
