Edgewater is currently seeking a DevOps Engineer to support our IT contract in the Washington, DC area. This DevOps Engineer will support The Department of Energies (DOE), Energy Information Administration (EIA). EIA is responsible for building, collecting, analyzing, and disseminating independent and impartial energy information to promote sound policymaking, efficient markets, and public understanding of energy and its interaction with the economy and the environment which is then reported to other government agencies, including the White House.
Edgewater Federal Solutions is working with EIA to modernize their current technology architecture as well as maintaining their current technology structure. Edgewater’s focus is to implement new technology that can help make EIA’s reporting more efficient.
This DevOps Engineer will work collaboratively with Software Developers to deploy and operate our systems. S/he will be responsible for promoting code to multiple testing and production environments during the software development process. The DevOps Engineer will work with the Development and Quality Assurance Teams in implementing and enhancing our build/test environment and related processes and tasks. S/he will also perform minimal debugging to determine where automation failures are and how they should be addressed. S/he will collaborate on the design and implementation of a reliable build/test automation framework. Finally, the DevOps Engineer will need to effectively communicate and collaborate with our Development and Maintenance Teams.
