Business Development Lead 

LOCATION: Sydney 

HIRE TYPE: Full-time

EXPERIENCE: Financial services industry experience, specifically within the Capital Markets catering to large FIs, Asset Managers or Large Brokers 

VERTICAL: Financial Markets 

Role Summary

Our success is based on close, on-site collaborating with our clients. The Business Development Lead will manage the business development activities for APAC clients. In this role you will identify, develop, build and close new business opportunities for eClerx within our financial services and banking vertical. The Business Development Manager should also understand associated technologies for financial services and banking clients.

We are conducting a search for an entrepreneurial, highly motivated candidate who has proven experience in financial services and Investment banking industry. 

Position Responsibilities 

In this position, you will: 

  • Cover assigned targeted accounts and prospects to generate leads 

  • Identify target prospects followed by a well-defined follow through plan to close new business 

  • Leverage and build a regional and industry network to identify new client and sales opportunities 

  • Initiate discussions with prospects 

  • On a daily basis, track prospects - identify decision makers, timelines, hot-buttons, and specific qualifications. 

  • Handle day-to-day responsibility for specific existing business and new sales opportunities 

  • Partner internally with eClerx practice domain leaders to create customized client solutions for client acquisition Respond to new sales opportunities (from existing contacts or generated sales leads) 

  • Understand client needs, industry trends and develop winning proposals

Eligibility Criteria: 

  • Relevant experience of selling BPO or consulting /technology services/solutions in the Financial Markets space Experience in sales, business development, account or relationship management roles in a B2B consulting, services, or technology focused environment 

  • Experience selling and building relationships at all levels of seniority from day to day management to "C" level contacts 

  • Experience in short and long term sales processes selling complex solutions to multiple contacts 

  • The ideal candidate should be ambitious, self-motivated, detail oriented, organized, and friendly with high energy, a willingness to learn and be creative 

  • Well-organized, self-motivated; a doer and closer with exceptional communication, verbal and written, and presentation skills 

  • Applicants must have the right to work in Australia
