Eckardt Group is Hiring a Payroll Coordinator Near Atlanta, GA

Position Summary

The Payroll Coordinator will ensure the collection of all necessary information and documents, compute wages, and investigate and resolve any payroll issues or discrepancies. To be successful as a payroll coordinator, you should be able to efficiently coordinate payroll tasks and strictly follow company policies and legal regulations. An outstanding payroll coordinator should also possess strong people skills.

Eckardt was Founded in 1936 as a partnership called Eckardt-Ness Electric and for over 80 years Eckardt has been recognized as one of the top electrical contractors in Georgia. Our initial customers included Southern Bell (AT&T), Trust Company Bank (SunTrust), and Emory Hospital- relationships that we are proud to still hold today. In 1959 the partnership incorporated as Eckardt Electric and in 1969 we left our office in Downtown Atlanta to move to Chamblee, where we remain today. In 2018 Eckardt Electric was re-branded as Eckardt Group as we continue to grow and pursue new markets.

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting Payroll & Compliance Manager with processing payroll on a weekly basis
  • Assist with monthly union reporting
  • Timely completion of Separation Notices
  • Update and maintain employee information
  • Systems Administration (Paperless Environments, BambooHR, ComputerEase,Rhumbix)
  • Quarterly audits & reconciliation between systems
  • Become familiar with Union rules and regulations for day-to-day application
  • Report Payroll for CCIP jobs
  • Run Labor reports for large jobs
  • GA New Hire Reporting
  • Yearly EEOC Reporting
  • Working alongside Head of HR & Marketing for team event and meeting planning

Requirements:

  • Ability to work with confidential information
  • Organized, detail oriented
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to work autonomously & solve complex problems
  • Ability to create and maintain relationships with employees at all levels within the organization
  • Capable of communicating effectively verbally or via email
  • This position is not a remote role and will be located in our home office in Atlanta, Georgia

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, not required
  • 3 years of experience in payroll and/or HR preferred

  • 3 weeks of PTO (additional PTO accrued with tenure)
