Job Description

Our team is seeking a highly motivated individual and utility player who will research and apply financial processes in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). This role will be responsible for supporting a wide variety of finance projects and responsibilities, from contributing to the financial and month end close process, to assisting in the preparation and review of the Company's financial statements, to preparing various internal financial and executive-level reports, collaborating on M&A activities, and performing certain higher risk account reconciliations. This individual should enjoy a dynamic work environment and adding value to critical finance projects. This position is hybrid with 2 days a week in our Fort Worth, TX Corporate Headquarters Office.Responsibilities: Conduct and document insightful research of non-routine accounting transactions to conclude on the appropriate application of U.S. GAAP Provide technical accounting support for mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures including due diligence, contract review, purchase accounting, and any ongoing analysis. Responsible for the correct application of ASC 606 / IFRS 15 and any relevant judgments to technical accounting matters for revenue recognition Lead the effort to implement the new lease accounting guidance Ability to assess problem situations to identify causes, gather and process relevant information, generate possible solutions, and make recommendations and/or resolve the problem Support audit activities including drafting of financial statements and required footnotes. Develop deep understanding of the Company’s key metrics and drivers. Assist in designing and implementing internal and external financial statements and reports. Develop and teach technical accounting training material across the Finance organization Participate in the design, development, testing, implementation and documentation of accounting systems and related interfaces. Recommend and implement system modifications to improve internal control, increase efficiency or reduce costs. Mergers and Acquisitions:Assist with finance due diligence, preparation of closing and opening balance sheets, purchase accounting, and post-close accounting and purchase price adjustments for acquisition targets Support accounting integration and consolidation, including assisting in integration of accounting systems and Company accounting policies and procedures and internal controls Assist with the work of specialists in valuation services, communicate with internal and external audit as needed to support compliance efforts. Assist with selected monthly and quarterly analysis processes to support senior leadership financial and business reviews of acquired companies Assist with merger and acquisition related accounting and disclosure requirements. Assist with post acquisition integration planning and execution including synergy development, measurement and tracking Identify process improvements and assist in the implementation of related processes and controls. Knowledge, Skills, Ability, Education & Experience: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting required CPA license requiredAt least four (6) years of experience, of which, several years with a national or regional firm or comparable professional service firm are strongly preferred. 4 years of experience in revenue accounting, preferable in a software/SaaS environment 3 years Supervisory experience managing 2 or more direct reports Possess fundamental accounting and internal controls knowledge Proficient in US GAAP, ASC 606/IFRS 15 Experience with researching and accounting for non-routine, complex accounting concepts in accordance with US GAAP, including the preparation of technical memorandums that concisely document analyses and conclusions.Strong information systems/ERP system experience and superior Excel skills Detail-oriented with both the ambition and willingness to dive into the details necessary to accomplish responsibilities and solve problems. Experience with accounting and financial reporting in accordance with US GAAP, including the preparation and/or review of financial statements and footnotes Ability to successfully manage multiple projects with competing priorities and tight deadlines Strong organizational and time management skills /ability to continually prioritize workload and respond to top priorities with a sense of urgency.
