ECC is seeking a Senior Accountant in Burlingame, CA. This position is responsible for applying complex accounting principles and procedures to analyze financial information, prepare financial reports and ensure appropriate accounting control procedures. In this position, you will:

• Liaise with outsourced tax provider, outsourced state compliance service and in-house legal to manage efficient domestic and international tax and statutory compliance processes that are aligned with tax and legal requirements; assist with the establishment of new legal entities.
• Monitor and respond to all tax data requests from outsourced tax provider.
• Prepare and file property tax and filings.
• Manage VAT tracking and ensure European team provides needed information to maintain the GL balance to reflect status of receivables per European tax agencies
• Review customer contracts to determine performance obligations in accordance with ASC 606 guidelines
• Track FX accounting compliance by AR, AP, GL and European team to ensure proper accounting practices and FX recognition
• Legal entity accounting and reporting to JV partners and tax agencies
• Review and back-up team on quarterly foreign functional currency legal entity financial statement creation
• Review annual foreign branch and entity financial statements provided by tax providers against the General Ledger
• Support all (internal and external) annual audits on PBC creation, prepare response to auditor inquiries, etc.
• May act as resource for colleagues with less experience
• Any special projects or tasks as assigned by Corporate Controller.

Proficiency Requirements

• Proven ability to implement programs to address complex needs and problems
• Competent in using Microsoft Office products, email systems, and Windows
• Five years or more working in with the General Ledger in Accounting/Finance.
• Education: This position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation a plus
