Description

POSITION DESCRIPTION

The UX designer works with the UX Engineer and front-end developers to create new and intuitive user experiences in our practice-facing and internal applications. The UX designer will primarily be tasked with conducting user research, asset creation, and management and wireframing of new and enhanced experiences. 

The UX designer will also collaborate with the UX Engineer in ideation, design testing, and reviews and work through any redesigns that need to be done to create a consistent and uniform presentation that is in line with our established brand standards.

The UX designer will also collaborate with our Product Owners in reviewing updates, enhancements, and new workflows as it relates to prioritized work in our backlog.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • UX Designer will create elegant design solutions for user/customer challenges
  • Design user flows, wireframes, and mockups
  • Take a user-centered approach and rapidly test and iterate your designs
  • Design and execution of user research studies
  • Collaborate across design, engineering, and product teams within an Agile environment
  • Keep up to date with modern trends and industry best practices

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • UX Designer will help design the direction and user experience for new products or improve existing products
  • Provide guidance and advocate for the best user experience in collaboration with the UX Engineer and Front-End Team.
  • Gather and review qualitative data: conduct user research, interviews, surveys, and usability tests
  • Gather and review quantitative data: review customer metrics, KPIs, and product-generated analytics
  • Effectively visualize and explain complicated user flows or business processes to stakeholders and teammates
  • Organize and analyze research findings for a better understanding of user insights (presentations, persona development, etc.)
  • Create wireframes, sketches, and create user flows/diagrams to help test and explain solutions
  • Collaborate with product owners, developers, stakeholders, and customers
  • Identify design problems and create meaningful solutions
  • Provide guidance to software engineers to implement your solutions via documentation, design annotations, document flows, and overall specifications
  • Be able to take criticism of your design and explain the ‘why’ behind your choices
  • Be comfortable with multiple UX hats: user research, information architecture, wireframing, hi-fi prototyping, crafting product requirements, developer hand-offs
  • Develop expert-level knowledge of customers as well as competitive and complementary products, and bring new ideas to the team

Requirements

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • 3 years of experience as a UX Designer
  • Experience with front-end technologies and frameworks used to implement designs (Angular, Kendo UI, MVC, HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
  • Experience with design tools such as Adobe XD
  • Experience and comfort with UX research processes to define and enhance workflows
  • An online portfolio demonstrating personal design capabilities
  • Analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple deliverables
  • Strong communication skills
  • High sense of ownership and responsibility to all stakeholders to ensure work quality
  • Authorization to work in the US without sponsorship.
  • Maintains all patient confidentiality.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

  • 4-year degree in a relevant field of study (UX/UI Design, Information Technology, Computer Systems, etc.).

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Ability to work independently/self-reliant and show initiative with minimum supervision
  • Ability to balance team and individual responsibilities
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict time deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with strong English language grammar skills
  • Working knowledge of Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
