What we're looking for

As a Senior GL accountant, you will be responsible for the day to day accounting operations, maintaining the accuracy and completeness of general ledger accounts and month end close reporting. We are looking for someone with strong attention to detail, customer service and audit experience.

What you'll do

• Assist in day-to-day accounting activities to ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, internal policies and external audits.
• Prepare various account reconciliations, schedules, exhibits and summaries to support the general ledger balances to ensure we meet our close deadline
• Prepare monthly journal entries for assigned accounts
• Collaborate with various departments, including Financial Reporting, FP&A, Payroll, and Accounts Payable teams for proper recording of transactions
• Participate in internal and external audits by preparing and explaining deliverables
• Maintain fixed asset master data
• Perform various special projects, ad-hoc requests, and other assigned tasks
• Work on process optimization and automation efforts to improve efficiency and effectiveness of our monthly close process and of our internal and external reporting requirements.

What you'll bring

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance with CPA or equivalent a plus
• Minimum 8 years [xx experience]
• Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Expertise in Netsuite
• Advance knowledge of MS Excel and Power Point
• Ability to multi-task, stay organized and prioritize deadlines in fast paced and continuously changing environment
• Promotes teamwork and works well with others
• Energetic, detail-oriented, and positive attitude
• Ability to work onsite to develop partnerships with broader Finance organization and company

Additional Information & Requirements

This is a full-time position based out of our beautiful new headquarters in Alameda, CA. Work will be primarily onsite.
